Hey guys!

I just have to apologize, because we had a ton of things to do today.  I have no time to email and my camera won't connect to the computer. Just know that I love you guys! Daniel's baptism was amazing! I'll tell you all about it next week!

Sorry...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (Sam's birthday was yesterday.)

Hey guys!

It sounds like you all had a good week! My weeks seem to go by crazy fast! I've already been with my companion for 3 weeks!

(Forest told us that he got a haircut today and will send us photos of it next week.  Looks like he was past due for a haircut!)

Well, the Raul's baptism fell through. He didn't feel like he had received an answer from Heavenly Father yet, so we read with him about how the Holy Ghost talks to us and how we receive answers to our prayers. Yesterday we had Stake Conference, and one of the talks was on how the Holy Ghost answers our prayers. It was perfect! Last night I also found a talk that talks about that in a Liahona that we're gonna take to him. He's a really good guy. I hope we can help him recognize his answer soon.

Daniel Lopez has a baptismal date for this Saturday and is pretty excited for it. The bishop has been pretty involved in helping us prepare him. He's 18 years old and lives a tough life. His mom died a few years ago and his dad ran off. He lives with the sister of his grandma. He's a great kid and we're pretty excited for him!

So, throughout my entire mission, the most investigators that my companion and I have brought to church has been seven, but this week we were able to bring ten people to church! It was amazing and the Spirit was super strong! A family that we had invited was unable to come, but we're hoping that they can make it next week.

I love you all! Have a great week! Sam, stop following in my footsteps with all the broken bones haha

Questions:

Dad: Steak and mashed potatoes.  (What's the number one dinner you miss?)

Mom: Not really.  (Have you gotten to talk very many of your investigators from when you were there the first time?)

Holly:I love the story of when Alma and Amulek are teaching Zeezrom because their teaching skills are awesome! They're super direct and ask good questions. What's yours?  (What is your favorite story in the Book of Mormon and why?)

Sam: The interior doors have changed.  (Has anything changed in your apartment since you were there the first time?)

Dylan: In 1 Nephi 4:8 it says that his full name is Nephi Forest Radmall...haha!  (In the scriptures they always go by just Nephi...what is his last name?)

Hey guys!

This week was pretty good! Sugey's baptism was really good! Her mom and her kids are members and we convinced her daughter who's 14 to say the opening prayer which was awesome! The whole baptism went really smooth but Sugey said that the water was really cold. Oops! haha

Raul continues to progress, his baptismal date is for this Saturday. The last lesson we had with him was on Saturday, and we watched the full movie of the Restoration with him and he really enjoyed it. We invited him to pray about Joseph Smith and the church again and we're really hoping that he recognizes his answer. I'm almost 100% sure that he has already received it, he just didn't recognize it, or doesn't want to accept it. He told his wife a little bit ago that if he ever gets baptized into a church, it'll be this one. He's a really great man! I actually thought that he was a member the first time we visited him. He even went to Sugey's baptism with his wife, and is looking for a job that has Sundays off. (He's not working right now).

We also have another baptismal date, Danial Lopez, for the 24th of this month. As of right now there isn't a huge difficulty with him apart from family problems. He doesn't live with his parents. He lives with his "grandparents" but they aren't blood related. He's 18 and is progressing really well.

I'm doing great! I love the area and my companion and I get along really good! I love you guys! Have a great week!

Questions:

Dad: Not sure if it's the neatest, but the craziest is Semana Santa-Holy Week.
(What's the neatest cultural thing you've witnessed?)

Mom: I am now able to work a lot harder which I enjoy. We're finding a lot of good people!  (Besides you speaking Spanish better, tell me some differences between when you were in this area the first time and now.)

Holly: They actually understand it really well. It's a little harder for them to understand what happens after death because they usually only believe in Heaven and Hell so it's another concept for them to learn.  (How hard is it for your investigators to comprehend when you teach them about the pre-mortal life?)

Sam: No, I was and am super excited!  (Was it hard to come back to the same area and if so, why?)

Dylan: It's a little spicy, but I really like it. To help us grow and progress eternally.  (Tell me about Mexican candy.  Why did Heavenly Father give us trials?)

Hey guys!

                                                         Elder Torres and Elder Radmall

This week was pretty cool! We were able to commit two people to baptism! One for this Saturday, and one for the next. We tried committing a ton of people to baptism, but only two accepted. We're wanting to commit Marcos to baptism this week for the 24th of this month. The two that have baptismal dates are Sugey and Raul. Sugey's baptismal date is for this Saturday and is super excited for it. Her only problem or struggle is her family. They're members, but less-active and they don't support her a whole lot. She´s the mom, and her oldest son who's about 22 yells at her, hits her, smokes weed, and isn't living the Law of Chastity. It's really hard on her, but her other kids do better, they just don't obey her which is frustrating for her.

My companion is also from Veracruz, he has made two rap cds, and he's pretty cool. I'll tell you more about him next week in the email.  There are 22 missionaries in our zone.

Raul is an older guy of about 60 yrs. His wife is a member which is a huge help, but he has cancer, so he sometimes doesn't have a ton of energy. He grew up in a Christian church where they played loud music with drums all that jazz, and he says that in that church he felt filled with the Spirit, but in this church he doesn't feel it. He´s confusing the Spirit with inspiration or energy. We've explained the difference to him a few times, but we´re planning an awesome lesson to help him feel the Spirit strongly.

Likes his food!!

I feel pretty happy to be in this ward again, the member recognized me which surprised me because I couldn't really talk to them before. This is not the ward where Rubén and Wendy live, but they do live in the zone.  I actually get to go to Navolato this Thursday which I'm pretty excited about.

I love you guys! Have a great week!

Questions:

Dad: Sadly, no. But if I find one, I'll be sure to buy something from it.  (Are there any Mexican cowboy stores there? That could be some cool stuff to get!)
Mom: I'll be good with what ever. (Are you thinking that you will finish your mission in Culiacan and are you hoping to?)

Holly: By using the scripture that says our bodies are temples. Then using the example of someone putting graffiti on the church building. (How do you teach people that have tattoos that we are not supposed to have tattoos?)

Sam: Being with family and being able to talk about hunting again haha  (What is the main thing that you are looking forward to when you get home?)

Dylan: Pues, aquí en la misión, ninguno, pero a mí, mi gusta mas los juegos de la mesa. Well, here in the mission, none, but to me, I like more the games of the table. (¿Qué juego juegas más a un juego de mesa o de cartas? What game do you play most a board or card game?)
